Marek Czernis

Attorney at Law at the Regional Chamber of Attorneys at Law in Szczecin, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

Prior to founding the law firm in 1995, he held internship in the English offices in London (including Middleton Potts, Sinclair Roche) and the American in New York (including Haight, Gardner Poor & Havens).

For over thirty years he participates and provides legal services in domestic and international economic trade covering, in particular, international maritime and energy trade, international financial transactions and insurance (with particular emphasis on the London insurance and reinsurance market). The value of served business transactions exceeded USD. 5,000,000,000.

He represented litigation (and is currently conducting) cases before domestic and foreign common and arbitration courts with a value exceeding USD 1,000,000,000.

Participant and speaker at many regional and international conferences and legal and economic presentations. Member of the Maritime Law Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences at the Sciences branch of in Gdańsk, a long-time member of  Maritime Law Codification Committees (co-author of the Maritime Code regarding the transport of cargo by the sea), the founder of the reactivated Polish Maritime Law Association, member and co-worker of many national and international organizations (IMO, UNCTAD, UNICTRAL, CMI, BIMCO etc.).

He provides legal services in Polish, English, Russian and Hebrew.
