The article answers a number of questions concerning (i) the shipbuilding industry in Poland; (ii) the bases and standards of carrying out shipbuilding contracts, as well as the formalities to be met upon the acceptance of a vessel. It represents a source of the necessary knowledge for businesses who are thinking about having a vessel built in Poland, by giving an insight into both the legal as well as commercial terms and conditions of such ventures.
